Visual Character
A creamy stoneware body with 25 % fine chamotte (0–0.2 mm). Fires apricot-yellow-khaki at mid- to high-fire temperatures. Great for throwing, hand-building, and extruding.

How to Use
- Firing range: 1000–1300 °C
- Optimal: ~1280 °C (Cone 9)
- Bisque: ~900–1000 °C

Very smooth, great for hand building and learning how to throw on the wheel.
Im a total beginner but produced these pieces after a six week workshop with Takapau Art Centre. Im hooked and will be experimenting with my new glazes in the future. Pottery is a patient game.
I loved working with this clay, I used it for a months worth of large sculptures & was so excited.... Until I unloaded the kiln, every piece has big cracks, these have been sitting drying in my kiln room for week's, so definitely not a moisture problem. So disappointed, week's & weeks worth of exhibition pieces wasted 😞 I gave it a 3 star, because it is so lovely to work with, but a really bad outcome
Loved trying out a grog clay, as a beginner, for me it's great exploring the different clays. The grog has so many advantages, I think I'll buy again
