Abbots Topaz is a Cone 6 midfire brushable glaze with a reactive ochre-gold glaze with matte softness, natural warmth, and subtle edge-breaking. It adds a weathered, burnished quality to forms and becomes especially compelling in layered work where its golden body brings atmosphere and contrast. Food safe.
